microsoft software download siteDownloading from Microsoft site if using pirated software?

Sorry, but I am just learning computer so my question may seem stupid to professionals.

I want to ask that If one is using a pirated version of window xp/vista, is it advisable to download any software (ex. .net framework) from microsoft directly.

Someone told me that on using pirated version if we log on to microsoft site it blocks your computer.
We're not going to help you with illegal things, as the act of using pirated software is illegal.
Don't even think about using pirated software. Not only is it highly illegal but youmicrosoft software download site may expose your machine to a built-in piece of malware. Oh, and it's illegal too. If you are interested in free software, download and burn to disk a Linux distribution like Ubuntu. The operating system and most applications are free in price, free to alter and distribute, and free from the restrictions of proprietary software. Note that, depending on where you live, there may be some legal issues with some of the drivers for your video, sound card, modem and such.
It is everybody's (including me) advice that 'don't use pirated microsoft software download sitesoftwares'. But 99% personnel are using pirated softwares. Once you are using, don't activate/ download from Microsoft site and uncheck Windows automatic update/ firewall.
to download from the microsft website it validates that you have a legal copy. so you cant do it. buy it cheap ****.
Microsoft's site won't allow you to download if your copy of Windows is pirated. It doesn't block you it just doesn't let you download.
oh they told me the same thing. i don't know
