i went on the yahoo music page and there are programs you can download onto your computer so that you can download music and i was wondering if this one program in particular is free, and if it is safe becuase i don't want to get viruses on my computer from downloading music.

Foxytunes just controls your media player, it has nothing to do with which songs you play and whether downloading them is safe. (Foxytunes gives you the "media keys" from your keyboard in your browser.) Whether a paryahoo music download freeticular site, or a particular song, is safe is a totally different matter.
im not really sure i dont use it, i use playlist.com in conjunction with an addon for firefox that allows me to download the song im listening to. it even works in myspace and youtube. =]
